Hello and I cannot believe it took me such a long time to post here again!

Well, I have a bunch of good reasons for that, although I don’t wanna go into detail here. My cutie-pie cat Kaori had an allergic reaction to some meds she got for a slight cold and it resulted into 4 weeks with a HUGE hole in her side and a neck brace hindering all her movements – bah! She is starting to feel like her old self again, though =)

I also began an internship at a museum which is rather interesting. My main task so far is the inventory of old school stuff (books, class registers, plotters, knapsacks, friendship books and so on and so on), toys, calendars, newspapers and the like. But I’m also trying to come up with some fun and educational programs for kids who visit and several other things. Well, enough of that.

Craft-vise… Eh, there was a lot of other things to do. The winter skirt is almost finished now (ha! won’t be able to wear it until next winter) and I am working on a new blouse. True to my intentions around christmas (I shudder at the word alone), I gave knitting another try. I joined some sort of knitting club that meets every wednesday evening. Tomorrow will only be my second time there, so I can’t tell anything yet. I am currently working on a really warm scarf – another piece that’ll have to fulfill it’s purpose next winter. But I’ve been so freakingly cold these past few months that I determined to stack up on truly warm clothes this year. – Preparation is everything!

Today I finished a fun project, the famous Amy Butler Birdie Sling! I used her own fabrics for the exterior, Morning Mist Bright Buds in grey from August Fields and Decorator Solids in grey from the Decorator Solids. I used some less expensive fabric for the lining and added a snap closure, because I can’t stand not being able to close my bags and purses.

Here are some quick photos of the finished Birdie Sling:

And that’s all I wanted to share. I nearly gave up on photographing clothes. The light contrasts in my appartment are just too strong. Should I ever have a spare minute to think about a solution to this problem, I will.
